Very nice staff and atmosphere.
Best salt beef I ever had, loads of other options to choose from as well. Place is very clean and staff is nice. Only that is too expensive, expect to pay around £10+ for a sandwich.
Friendly enough but two salt beef sandwiches and two cappuccinos at £21.00 seemed a bit steep!
Worst place I have been to way way over priced £2.60 for a coke and 70p to have it in the shop and you have to pay extra for sauces employees are rude and don't care for there customers. I give this cafe 0 stars.
Nice atmosphere (hence the 3rd star), however the menu is incredibly overpriced, the markup for a can of diet coke is £1.90. However, when I ordered my sandwich, I did not expect it to come to the price of a full english breakfast! It was nice, but nothing to write home about. Higher prices demand higher quality goods. On that note, I unfortunately (like a few others) shall not be returning to this establishment unless they either raise the quality of their food to something that will reflect the price or lower the price to something that will reflect the quality of their food - please take note that the food is not of a bad quality, but instead is just the equivalent of paying £8 for a Tesco meal deal without the crisps. Just as a word of advice as well, when asked about the Monday to Wednesday government scheme to kick start the economy, it is unwise to laugh at your customer considering they can take a 1 minute walk down the road and be met with multiple restaurants of the same calibre offering that scheme. Apologies for the rant, this was just my experience, please swing by and give them a try, just be wary of the price!
cool
Excellent costumer service. Fresh food, great taste. Clean, reasonable prices.
It's a good robust quality sandwich, breakfast and lunch bar. The breakfast was a robust standard fryup. It was the people watching that made it special. Many well dressed old london boys with differing styles, an upright down to earth attitude and great shoes. One customer paid from a wad of fifties. Refreshing.
They Spend so long talking to everyone that it takes an age to get served.
An interesting take on a bacon sandwich - not one that I totally understand ?
Good friendly service.
I call this place home, from the staff, the food I don't have nothing bad to say about them, they make you feel so good and they will treat you as a friend.
Went there for a coffee and was charged £2.90 for a small cup of black coffee. Very expensive and overpriced in comparison with other coffee shops and dearer than some high class restaurants. A little it cramped at the table as well.
Great freshly prepared food.
I'm very familiar with this eating establishment, good selection of food, however a little pricey for me.
Delish sandwich, very affordable for central london
Delicious, convenient and comfy old fashioned deli, Italian and other European specialties and sandwiches. Cokes in proper glass bottles—I was sold. I come every time I’m anywhere near for a quick drink or hearty lunch.
Bloody expensive for what u get.
Great service, food and prices.
Lovely little cafe which is always packed but we just managed to grab a table after placing our orders. Staff are super friendly, food is perfect and the coffee is good too. Will certainly pop in the next time I am passing.
Ordered. Never got my food and 25 minutes later I left. At least they apologised and gave me my money back.
Salt Beef. . .This is the place to get it. . This is a diamond find in Hatton Garden. Best salt beef ever, melt in the mouth, really clean premises, friendly banter and reasonably priced. Locally very popular, very busy lunchtime. Staff know customers by name. You get what you pay for.. . try the salt beef with Swiss cheese and gherkins. Try it out if you are in the area or travel to it if you are not. Very varied, fresh menu. Go on treat yourself x Thanks, I'll be back. Liz
Chicken soup, minestrone soup, salted beef bagel, lasagna are my favourites. i go there once a week because it is close to where i live and i always enjoy the chat of staff which is energies and motivates. Good business good talk and good food. Slated beef bagel is legit
Expensive for what it is, foods ok though
excellent service. All staff is polite and lovely . food has v good quality and don't mind to wait for some dishes as it is obviously done fresh. Excellent e.breakfast. always a winner if you want to have a proper lunch .
Good selection of store made sandwichs. You can ask for a custom order
Great spot to grab a coffee and a bite to eat before a meeting.
Good coffee and the staff are friendly and make all the difference.
Nice enough place, had a good bagel... If it was cheaper maybe I'd consider a 5star
Great cafe
They cover everything. Great place for breakfast or lunchtime food.
Clean and welcoming cafe, the staff are friendly and enthusiastic. Had bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes and bread. All freshly cooked and delicious. If you want crispy bacon ask. Along with that I had tea, which was well presented but a bit disappointing in flavour. Tables were cleared promptly and the cafe was very clean. The staff were polite and had a sense of humour. Great spot for breakfast in the area.
Visit for breakfast n lunch while in the area, good rapore, friendly staff, n boiling tea!
I was looking for a nice independent for a breakfast sandwich but having visited Buffet Bar today I feel robbed both by taste and financially. I ordered a bacon and egg toasted sandwich on brown bread. The bacon is all pre cooked - which I don't like. There are loads of lovely "caffs" in London that will fry bacon on the spot, it's not hard and it's much fresher. The bacon was piled in with no love or care, the bread was tasteless. The skinny latte I had was satisfactory and I have to say the service is fantastic - but the food was not. For a bacon and egg toasted sandwich and skinny latte I paid £8.60 - a rip off. Don't charge me diamond prices because you can't afford your rent! There are fab institutionalised caffs in London that serve far better food and its places like this that give them a bad name. Honestly I won't be coming back and urge others not to waste their time. I still need to find a good caff close to Clerkenwell Road. Any suggestions?
London feeling 100%
£7.40 for a sandwich, bag of crisps and a can of coke. why eat here when you can head to leather lane (1 minute away) and eat fresh, hot food for less?
Great salt beef.
Best bacon roll in London ?? Very friendly & lovely atmosphere
The lads behind the counter are fantastic!
Great sandwiches, and very friendly staff!
Excellent!
Small, but a great place for a wide variety of sandwiches! They even do some good lunches too
Fantastic coffee plus scrambled eggs and smoked salmon at a really reasonable price. Great cafe, great breakfast.
